Youth Actors Company

When children explore the arts, it enhances the development of many skills such as communication, problem-solving, fine motor, social, and emotional skills as well as encourages self-expression and creativity. Osceola Arts seeks to support and inspire through the Young Actors Company.

The Youth Actors Company provides the opportunity for kids to come together to learn more about the arts and to hone their craft with professionals and experts in their field. Osceola Arts offers the Young Actors Company program to performers of ages 5 - 17. This troupe will work closely with their cast to put together a spectacular show within their age category.

Age categories include:

  • Ages 5-8

  • Ages 9-12

  • Ages 13-17

Members of the Young Actors Company will learn basic theater techniques such as stage direction, movement, dance, vocal performance, and acting skills while fostering creativity, confidence, and teamwork. Each session will end in a weekend of performances from each age category.

Paul Smith got his start performing in theater in 2004. He has always gravitated toward comedy. He's done standup in both the Atlanta and Orlando area and has been performing improv comedy since 2014. He produced a season of Unplanned Improv, Southeastern University's improv TV show, was a player in the NITWITS, Newnan Theater Company's improv troupe, was a member of the Orlando Humor Mill, Orlando's Premier Sketch Comedy Troupe and is the creator of Diversity & Dave, Osceola County's only improv troupe.
