About the Event
Osceola Arts is proud to present the works of Sara Nguyen at Veterans Memorial St. Cloud Library as part of the ongoing Art in Public Places Program.
Sara Nguyen, working professionally under Nguyen in Doubt Art, LLC for almost nine years, has been active as an artist in Georgia and Florida. As a muralist, she has painted for many brands and groups, also partnering with Fetch Dog Parks in Atlanta to paint over 100 murals in five different parks.
In her smaller scale artworks, Nguyen is largely inspired by her upbringing in Florida, utilizing the state’s natural world as inspiration. Her bird portrait series aims to capture the vivid essence of the tropical world, where nature's palette is at its most extravagant. Each portrait is more than a representation; it's a celebration of the bird's spirit and individuality. In her oyster shell series, Nguyen delves into the subtle yet profound beauty of these often-overlooked treasures from the sea. Each shell is a unique artifact, shaped by the rhythms of the ocean and the passage of time, and her work seeks to celebrate their intricate forms and delicate textures. Through these works, the artist hopes to foster a deeper appreciation for the natural world and encourage a moment of quiet contemplation amidst our often hurried lives.
The exhibition is on view at Veterans Memorial St. Cloud Library (810 13th St.) from November 19 to January 21 during library hours.
The Art in Public Places program aims to fill our Osceola County communities with local art in the public libraries and Kissimmee City Hall. If interested in showing work through this program, please apply at www.osceolaarts.org/art-in-public-places.
