About the Event
Osceola Arts is proud to present the works of Nelmarie Figueroa at West Osceola Library as part of the Art in Public Places Program.
Nelmarie Figueroa is a photographer currently based in Central Florida. She has been photographing since 2013. Figueroa uses this medium to document life and embrace the past. Figueroa is interested in subtleties, such as a shared glance between strangers, the quietness on a busy street, and visible connections between humans.
For Figueroa, photography serves as a medium of preservation — not only for images, but also for emotions, stories, and the essence of moments. The artist aims to slow down time and collect these small happenings as tributes to people.
The exhibition is on view at the West Osceola Library (305 Campus St.) from July 10 to September 8 during library hours.
The Art in Public Places program aims to fill our Osceola County communities with local art in the public libraries and Kissimmee City Hall. If interested in showing work through this program, please apply at www.osceolaarts.org/art-in-public-places or contact diana@osceolaarts.org for more information.
