Willian Bautista

Location: 917 John Young Pkwy, Kissimmee, FL 34741 At this location, artist William Bautista invites you into a powerful visual tribute to the Dominican Republic, a nation rich in history, culture, and natural beauty. As a Dominican born artist, Bautista channels his heritage into this mural, transforming the wall into a vibrant celebration of identity and pride. Dominating the composition is the Monument to the Heroes of the Restoration, a symbol of courage and national sovereignty. This landmark honors the resilience of the Dominican people and reflects the strength that inspires Bautista’s own artistic path. Flowing through the scene is the Malecón of Santo Domingo, capturing the pulse of modern Dominican life, joyful, rhythmic, and deeply rooted in community. The dancers dressed in the colors of the national flag pay tribute to Merengue Típico, a beloved musical tradition whose lively movement represents the heart and soul of the culture. Nature plays an equally important role in this mural. The palmchat, the country’s national bird, appears alongside sweeping Caribbean coastlines and the lush waterfalls of Jarabacoa. Together, these elements showcase the ecological richness that has made the Dominican Republic a globally admired paradise, symbolizing harmony between land and people, tradition and progress.
