Shea Monahan

"KowTown" Location: 316 Broadway -Kissimmee FL 34741 This vivid mural by artist Shea Monahan pays homage to Kissimmee’s rich agricultural and ranching heritage, capturing the spirit of “Cowtown” with bold color and Western imagery. Painted across the side of a local business, the mural immerses viewers in a golden prairie sunset, where a cowboy on horseback gazes across a rustic fence line under a fiery sky. Dominating the right side of the mural is a massive longhorn steer, its detailed expression and immense presence creating a striking focal point. The textures of the animal’s fur and horns are brought to life with warm earth tones, while the background glows with the oranges and yellows of a setting sun. A wooden sign marked “Kowtown” nods to the city’s nickname and deep roots in cattle ranching. The mural's cinematic composition, blending realism with bold contrast, transports viewers to Florida’s frontier past, making it both a local landmark and a tribute to the enduring identity of Kissimmee.
