PJ Svejda

“Puma Power Location: Valencia College Kissimmee Campus Welcome to Puma Power, a dynamic mural created by Florida-based artist PJ Svejda for the Valencia College Kissimmee campus. At its center stands a powerful puma, surrounded by lush, detailed plant life that reflects the strength, balance, and beauty of local ecosystems. The artwork brings vitality to the campus while encouraging viewers to consider their connection to the natural world. PJ earned both her BA in Illustration and MA in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design. She spent 12 years developing her career as an artist and instructor in Atlanta before relocating to Orlando, where she has become an influential voice in the arts community. Her work is known for passionate storytelling that explores the coexistence of humans, animals, and the planet. PJ often pairs bold or challenging themes with a classical painting style, creating pieces that are visually striking and emotionally resonant. As an advocate for animal, environmental, and human rights, she uses her art to inspire awareness, compassion, and a deeper understanding of our responsibilities on earth. Take a moment to explore the details. Puma Power is both a celebration of nature and a call to mindfulness.
