Nicole Salgar

This vibrant mural, titled “Cultivating Conservation,” was created by Nicole Salgar, a multi-media visual artist based in Miami, Florida. Spanning multiple walls, the piece is a lush, immersive depiction of Florida’s native pollinators and plant life. Look closely and you’ll see a visual ecosystem in motion—butterflies, bees, caterpillars, and blooming flowers are all painted in striking detail. The swirling aqua-toned background gives the sense of wind, water, and energy flowing through the environment, tying each species and plant together. Every element in the mural works in harmony to highlight the vital roles pollinators play in maintaining ecological balance. Nicole Salgar brings a wide range of influences to her work. With roots in Latin culture and a passion for horror, sci-fi, and folk art, her style blends fine detail with emotional depth. She has traveled extensively—through Cuba, Europe, South America, and across the U.S.—collaborating on mural projects with local communities. Nicole often views muralism as a meditative and healing practice, inviting viewers to explore deeper themes through her layered and often ambiguous imagery. She believes that experimentation is essential to meaningful creation—an approach that’s evident in the complexity and fluidity of this piece. Through her creative studio, NS/CB, she has worked with major brands including Starbucks, Tanqueray, Lululemon, Steve Madden, and Bacardi—yet remains deeply committed to public art as a space for dialogue, healing, and connection. “Cultivating Conservation” is both a celebration of natural Florida and a call to action—reminding us to protect the delicate systems that sustain life.
