About the Event

Art in Public Places presents Tertulia 4Gatos at the Hart Memorial Library in Kissimmee. Tertulia 4Gatos is a local group of creatives that have supported the arts in Central Florida since 2007.  The group embraces Latin American art, literature, and culture. Members of 4Gatos participate in festivals, exhibitions, and provide cultural presentations, at public libraries, universities, schools, city halls, consulates, and public parks in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties.  Tertulia 4Gatos will display a mural created by its members at the Hart Memorial Library in Kissimmee from May 3 through June 30. The mural titled ‘Life in Colors’, is made up of seventy painted canvases, each work contains a flower with a personal message of love, union, solidarity, friendship, and respect. Their motto is “Together we paint better.” The essence of the mural is about bringing the Central Florida community together through the arts.  For more information on Tertulia 4Gatos contact Maria Emma Fernandez at mariaemmafernandez@gmail.com or Beatriz Andrekovich at bandrekovich@yahoo.com.
