Grey Sturgill at Buenaventura Lakes Library

Osceola Arts -Art in Public Places at Buenaventura Lakes Library in Kissimmee presents Art by Grey W Sturgill on display March 7 - May 7.

Originally from Brooklyn, NYC,  Grey didn’t focus on art until high school. She began her art experience as an  Art Major at Prospect Heights HS during her junior year and a summer of study at the former “Studio O'' art collective which started her on the path of exploring different art mediums.  Over the years Grey has explored and very much enjoyed the areas’ of etching/printmaking, copper relief, yarn fiber crafts of knitting & crochet, and painting. She has completed studies in Architectural Drafting, and Graphics Printing.

“Dream Doodles Cosmology” Doodles are [my] freehand, free thoughts any direction drawings with no specific patterns, designs, or desired outcome. Whatever line lineation however the pen wanders which produces the finished composition. Dream doodles allow for any interpretation(s) as perceived by the observer. Some compositions demonstrate elements of cosmic, geometric, and architectural forms. While others vibrate to aerial views simulating cityscapes, skyscrapers, and the night lights of a high-tech metropolitan city. Dream doodling invigorates easy thinking, from simplistic to intricately detailed illustrations. Dream doodling is another method to feed and free the imagination. Some compositions demonstrate elements of cosmic, geometric, and architectural forms.
