DIVINITY: Works by Patricia Cavazos is an abstract interpretation of the Aztec world's creation and the gods behind it. 

Aztec gods are complex, and the mythology on how they created the world is mesmerizing. Discover Patricia Cavazos's peculiar depiction of some of the most important Aztec deities and enjoy the colorful portrayal of them and the creation of the world thru abstract paintings, 3d installations, and quilts.

Florida artist Patricia Cavazos was born in Monterrey, México, and migrated to the USA in 2000. She started her professional career as an architect but soon realized her passion was in creating art. In 2013, she moved to Germany working as a costume and scenery designer in the Theater Department at the International School of Düsseldorf. In 2016 returned to the USA and continue with her visual arts career. She draws inspiration from Mexican culture, ethnic groups, and traditional arts and crafts. She develops and creates her ideas though painting, mixed media 3D art, and textiles. For more information on the artist go to www.bycavazos.com.

DIVINITY: Works by Patricia Cavazos will be on display in the Studio Gallery from February 21 through April 1. Free artist reception on Saturday, March 5 from 2:pm-5:pm.
