About the Event

Osceola Arts- Art in Public Places presents Osceola County School District art teacher and practicing artist Matt Shaffer. Mr. Shaffer is entering his third year teaching Ceramics at Tohopekaliga High School in Kissimmee, FL.  Formerly a professor of 3D Art at Santa Fe College in Gainesville Florida, his teaching philosophy involves a mixture of nuts-and-bolts fundamentals, art appreciation, and risk-taking in a personal aesthetic. "I am so incredibly proud of my students, and I am always excited to share their work," says Schaffer. Works by Matt Shaffer and his Lake Tohopekaliaga High School students are on display at the Hart Memorial Library in Kissimmee from October 1-November 10. For more information on the Art in Public Places program, contact marilyn@osceolaarts.org.
