About the Event
Art in Public Places at Kissimmee City Hall presents local artist Nelson Babilonia. Nelson Babilonia was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. His passion for design drove him to study and become a draftsman. He attended the School of Art and Design of Puerto Rico receiving a Bachelor’s degree in painting and has exhibited in Puerto Rico and throughout Florida. His artworks are the product of a series of studies based on Biblical scriptures, culture, and music.“I don’t seek God in the arts, I create art to dialogue with Him and the observer. My interest in drawing and painting is to express a language that for lack of words, is visually complete through forms, volume, and colors.” Works created by Nelson Babilonia are on display at Kissimmee City Hall from August 4 through September 4.
