About the Event

Osceola Arts -Art in Public Places at Poinciana Library presents local artist Rick Arnold. Rick Arnold's journey into art, sparked by his fascination with Saturday morning cartoon superheroes, has evolved into a profound expression of the human experience. His passion for art shines through in various mediums, including graphite pencils, charcoal, colored pencil drawings, and pastels.

The characters in his realistic drawings serve as vessels for conveying themes of resilience, strength, and human emotion. With meticulous attention to detail, Arnold brings to life scenes from his own experiences, celebrating the joys of life and precious moments with people. His artistic journey extends beyond personal narratives to encompass depictions of heroic figures like Martin Luther King Jr., Tina Turner, and others, capturing their journeys with precision.

Arnold's artwork becomes a window into the complexities of the human experience. Viewers are prompted to pause and reflect, connecting with the emotions of each portrayed individual. His creations invoke a sense of pride in family, resilience, love, and the concept of black excellence. Through his depictions of the innocence of a child and the confidence exuded by various figures, Arnold's art becomes a celebration of diverse aspects of the human spirit.

Ultimately, Rick Arnold's artistic endeavors serve as a testament to the power of visual storytelling. His work not only captures moments in time but also invites viewers to engage with the broader themes of life, love, and the pursuit of excellence."I have always been drawn to the power of art as a means of expression.

"Through my drawings, I strive to capture the intricacies of the world around me, from the smallest details to the grandest of events. Each piece is a reflection of my journey through life, as a man and an artist, a testament to the resilience of the human spirit."

A meet and greet event will be held at Poinciana Library on Saturday, Feb. 24 from 1pm to 4pm. Works on display through April 24. For more information contact tre@osceolaarts.org. https://www.facebook.com/rick.arnold.14
