Osceola Arts is excited to bring Xanadu to the stage this Summer!

Seeking Non-Union actors. All roles paid. Seeking Actors & Singers 18 & up who can move. All Actors are welcomed and urged to audition. We commit to practicing diverse and inclusive casting without regard to disability, race, age, color, National origin, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
Auditions will be held in person at Osceola Arts on Sunday, April 30th & Monday, May 1st. Audition appointments are available per hour. Video submissions will also be accepted. Specific details will be sent via email by April 25th.
Actors should prepare 16-32 bars of a 70s/80s up-tempo pop song. An audition accompanist will be available but you may choose to use a backing (instrumental) track for your audition. You must provide your own sheet music and/or track.
Actors may be asked to attend callbacks after their audition. Callbacks will be held in person at Osceola Arts on Tuesday, May 2nd no earlier than 6:30p.

Description: It’s the 1980s and Sonny is a struggling artist searching for inspiration when a beautiful Greek muse descends from Mount Olympus and encourages him to build the world’s greatest creation…a Roller Disco! With a sprinkle of glitter, a dash of neon, and some legendary pop tunes this musical comedy is a perfect celebration of Summer! Rated PG
CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS: Please note, we are devoted to diverse casting both in ethnicity and gender expression.
Kira (Clio): (Female/Non-Binary) Muse of history. Youngest daughter of Zeus and the leader of the Muses. Adventurous, honest, and determined. We are not looking for an Olivia Newton-John look alike but someone who can bring her energy. This character will be on roller skates for a good portion of the show.

Sonny Malone: (Male/Non-Binary) A chalk artist who has lost his inspiration. He embodies 1980s pop culture and is a California dreamer. This character will skate in the finale.

Danny Maguire: (Male/Non-Binary) A hard-nosed businessman and the owner of a deserted theater. He used to be an artist but let money and greed take over. Must be able to play 50+.
