About the Event
Osceola Arts - Art in Public Places at West Osceola Library presents local artist Andy Beauchamp. Mr. Beauchamp was born in the Bahamas and raised in Haiti. He's been painting for more than 20 years, creating works often described as surreal, using abstract forms of musical instruments to depict the human figure. Beauchamp believes that music is a universal language that everyone can connect with. His work often features the technique of “trompe l’oeil”, a French term for “trick of the eye”, a painting style that uses realistic imagery to create the illusion of three-dimensional space on a two-dimensional surface. Beauchamp executes this craft to encourage viewers to interpret, rearranging the content and subject matter in his artwork in their own way.
Works by Andy Beauchamp on display at the West Osceola Branch Library in Celebration from January 13 through March 13. For more information on the Art in Public Places program contact Tre@osceolaarts.org
